Fundraising Tips

Form a Team

The single best way you can help R Baby Foundation save babies' lives is to form a team and walk or run on Mother's Day. By registering, you can help us spread the word, raise money and show government that we all care about reducing infant mortality in the U.S. Customize your team's fundraising page with images and video. Email all your contacts asking them to get involved and share your story. Click on these 7 easy and fun steps to maximize your fundraising efforts for the Run/Walk:

1. Create your team fundraising web page
2. Develop your mailing list
3. Write your letter
4. Mail/Email your letter
5. Collect the money
6. Run or Walk and have fun
7. Say thank you!

Matching Gifts
Many companies match charitable gifts made by their employees. Check with your human resources department or on your company's website. Email info@rbabyfoundation.org for help or with any questions.

Percentage of Proceeds
Ask local establishments to donate a percentage of a night's proceeds to R Baby Foundation. In return, promote the "event" within your company and the local community to help drive traffic to the establishment. The more people who attend, the more money you will raise. Email info@rbabyfoundation.org for help or with any questions.

Loose Change Collection
Choose a day to walk with an executive of your company (or walk with a principal through classrooms) to gather change from employees (or students). Ask people to make a small donation - every penny counts toward our goal to reduce the rate of infant mortality.

Special Event
If you are hosting a party soon ask that guests make a donation to R Baby in lieu of gifts. You can even set up a fundraising page to share event details, invite guests and collect donations.

Bag of 20s
Everyone loves a 50/50 drawing! Walk around your office with a bag and collect $20 bills from your co-workers. Ask them to write their name on the bill they drop in the bag. Shake up the bag and pull out a winner. The winner gets half the money and the other half goes to R Baby!

Penny Races
Compete against another team, between departments at your company or among classes at your school to see who can collect the most pennies for R Baby. All silver and paper money in the penny jars count AGAINST the total number of pennies, so each team tries to sabotage each other's jars with bills and large coins. Award a prize to the team with the most pennies after a month.

Quarters Collection
This is a perfect activity for schools. Collect empty film canisters and distribute them to students. They, in turn, collect quarters in these canisters and turn them in on a scheduled day at the school, with proceeds going to R Baby.
